Distinguished Features

The students in B.A. Program in Chinese (International Program) can choose one of the following three study plans, according to their interest.

  1. Plan A: All courses are conducted at Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, for 4 years. Students will get B.A. in Chinese from Mahidol University.
  2. Plan B1: Students study two years at Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, and study two years at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Ranked 47 of the world by QS World University Rankings 2021). The Plan B1 students will get double degrees: B.A. in Chinese from Mahidol University and B.A. in Chineses from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).
  3. Plan B2: Students study two years at Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, and study two years at Shanghai Jiao Tong University  The Plan B2 students will get double degrees: B.A. in Chinese from Mahidol University and B.A. in Business Chineses from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).

คุณสมบัติของผู้สมัคร

  1. The applicant must have not registered in TCAS system of academic year 2021 in any education institute.
  2. A candidate must be a high school graduate or have an equivalent certificate.
  3. A candidate must have a score of HSK or PAT 7.4 as follows:

  • A candidate must have an HSK level 4 with a score at least 180 or equivalent. Or a candidate who passes HSK Level 3 with a score at least 240 or equivalent will be required to attend and pass the assessment of a Chinese Language Preparatory Course provided by the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, before the beginning of semester.
  • A candidate must have PAT 7.4 with a score at least 150. A candidate who has a score of 120-149 will be required to attend and pass the assessment of a Chinese Language Preparatory Course provided by the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, before the beginning of semester.
  1. มีคะแนน TOEIC 500 คะแนนขึ้นไป หรือ MU-ELT 69 คะแนนขึ้นไปหากมีคะแนนไม่เป็นไปตามที่กำหนด หรือไม่มีคะแนนภาษาอังกฤษดังกล่าว ต้องเข้าเรียนหลักสูตรเตรียมความพร้อมด้านทักษะภาษาอังกฤษที่คณะ ศิลปศาสตร์จัดให้ ก่อนเปิดภาคการศึกษา
  1. The program provides 3 study plans that students can choose according to their interest.

  2. The courses in the program aim to develop advance Chinese skills that are up to date and can be applied in working life such as Chinese Translation, Chinese Interpretation, Chinese for Online Business, International Business Chinese, Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and so forth.

  3. The program offers a course in Chinese for Medical Professionals which represents the identity of Mahidol University.
  4. HSK6 (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi Level 6) or equivalent is a graduation requirement of this program.

Required Application Documents

  1. High school graduation certificate, high school transcript or equivalent certificate.
  2. HSK 4 or 3 result or PAT 7.4 
  3. TOEIC or MU-ELT result    
  4. Copy of identification card with signature and “Certified true copy”
