Letter from the Dean

The important mission of Faculty of Liberal Arts consists of providing education and generating body of knowledge that is based on quality research and able to respond to the needs of the society as follows: 

1. The education management focuses on the production of graduates of every levels whether undergraduate or postgraduate programs. At present, the faculty ir providing 3 Bachelor’s Degree programs, 2 Master’s Degree programs, and 1 Doctoral Degree program. Moreover, Faculty of Liberal Arts also provides a double degrees program for Bachelor’s Degree level entitled Bachelor of Arts Program in Chinese Language, cooperating with School of Humanities, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as well as Master of Arts in Japanese Studies, cooperating with Center for Japanese Language and Culture, Osaka University, Japan. The faculty also provides general education and elective subjects for students of Mahidol University. 

2. Research in Linguistics, Language Teaching, and Liberal Arts is integrated in order to generate body of knowledge and innovation that highlight human value and development. Most of the research is derived from the expertise of the faculty members as well as the interdisciplinary research cooperation across faculty, communities, and domestic and international universities. 

The aim of Faculty of Liberal Arts is to work in accordance with the determination of the university to be “Wisdom of the Land” and to support the development and provide benefits for the country, as well as to truly become a World Class University.
