คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล เดินทางเจรจาความร่วมมือกับสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมประชาธิปไตยศรีลังกา
วันที่ 20 – 21 มกราคม 2568 ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อภิวิชญ์ เลี้ยงอิสสระ คณบดีคณะศิลปศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วีรานันท์ ดำรงสกุล ประธานหลักสูตร และอาจารย์ ดร.วาเรศ รัตนวิสาลนนท์ อาจารย์ประจำหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาการจัดการการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพ ธรรมชาติ และวัฒนธรรม ได้ร่วมเดินทางกับมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล นำโดยศาสตราจารย์ นายแพทย์ปิยะมิตร ศรีธรา อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล พร้อมด้วย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.นภเรณู สัจจรักษ์ ธีระฐิติ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และสภามหาวิทยาลัย ผู้บริหารและผู้แทนส่วนงานของมหาวิทยาลัย เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ นายไพฑูรย์ มหาพัณณาภรณ์ เอกอัครราชทูตประจำสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมประชาธิปไตยศรีลังกา เพื่อหารือแนวทางการทำความร่วมมือทั้งด้านการแพทย์ การศึกษา และการวิจัยกับสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมประชาธิปไตยศรีลังกา และสาธารณรัฐมัลดีฟส์ พร้อมทั้งเดินทางเข้าเจรจาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ การวิจัย การแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและบุคลากร กับ University of Colombo และ University of Kelaniya ณ สาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมประชาธิปไตยศรีลังกา
ในการนี้ ผู้แทนจากคณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ได้เจรจาความร่วมมือกับผู้แทนจาก Faculty of Arts และ Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo ด้านการจัดการเรียนการสอน การแลกเปลี่ยนคณาจารย์และนักศึกษา การเชิญนักวิชาการอาคันตุกะ และการพัฒนาหลักสูตรการจัดการท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืน นอกจากนี้ผู้แทนจากคณะศิลปศาสตร์ได้ร่วมเยือน Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya (Ragama) ในการหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือในการวิจัยสาขาต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสุขภาพอย่างยั่งยืนอีกด้วย
Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, Establishes Collaborative Ties with the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka
On January 20-21, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Aphiwit Liang-Itsara, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Weeranan Damrongsakul, Program Chair, and Dr. Waret Ruttanawisanon, Lecturer of the Master of Arts in Health, Nature, and Cultural Tourism Management Program, joined a delegation from Mahidol University. The delegation was led by Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University, along with Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, and university executives and representatives.
The group paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mr. Paitoon Mahapannaporn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, to discuss potential collaborations in medicine, education, and research with higher education institutions in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. The delegation also visited the University of Colombo and the University of Kelaniya to explore opportunities for academic and research collaborations, as well as student and staff exchange programs.
During this visit, representatives from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, engaged in discussions with counterparts from the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Management and Finance at the University of Colombo. These discussions focused on curriculum development for sustainable tourism management, joint academic programs, faculty and student exchange initiatives, hosting visiting scholars, and furthering academic cooperation.
Additionally, the Faculty of Liberal Arts delegates visited the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Kelaniya (Ragama) to explore collaborative research opportunities in various fields related to sustainable health.
