From Words to Wealth Project: Becoming Voice-over Artists
On February 7, 2024, the Faculty of Liberal Arts hosted From Words to Wealth Project: Becoming Voice-over Artists. The event was held in Room 424 on the 4th floor and the studio on the 5th floor of Sirividhaya Building, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, Salaya. The project was chaired by Pichanee Sotthiyothin, Ph.D., an instructor for the Bachelor of Arts program in Thai language with Mr. Worathon Chuthaban, the producer of the Thai PBS Podcast program, and Ms. Wanya Chaiyo, a professional voice-over artist, who has voiced over 100 characters and has more than one million followers on her social media account, as the honored guest speakers for the occasion.
The objective of this project is to allow students to apply their academic knowledge to create career opportunities and income as well as to foster a sense of community service among all participants by providing audio description for the visually impaired. Students participating in the project will have the opportunity to record narrations, which will be provided to the underprivileged and visually impaired individuals in the future.
